Crail, Fife, Scotland

We visited Crail, Scotland in early April 2011. It was high on my list to visit since one of my ancestors, John Hart, was a presbyterian minister there in the 1600’s.

Crail Harbor

Crail, a small fishing village on the coast of Fife in Scotland.

Crail is typical of what you find in the East Neuk, a string if picturesque coastal villages running along the north side of the Firth of Forth.  My ancestor would probably have little difficulty recognizing the town and the pace of life today as it seems timeless.
